ABOUT ME
MISSION
During the course of my second year in ISM, I plan on strengthening myself as a student, photographer, writer, and college applicant. With the help of a mentor, my goal is to be able to produce content to further my portfolio and to advance my professionalism to equip myself for future life. I will challenge myself in a way that builds a professional character and enables me to pursue sports journalism ambitiously.

ACTIVITIES
Besides being a part of the Independent Study and Mentorship program, I am also a member of the Frisco High School yearbook committee. This year, I am the Co-Editor-in-Chief. Outside of school, however, I am an active member of First Baptist Church of Frisco and a childcare provider at Hope Fellowship Church during the week. In addition, for the past 2 summers, I served as a lifeguard at Sky Ranch Christian Summer Camps in Van, TX as well as Quapaw, OK where I strengthened my responsibility, time management, diligence, respect, and communication skills.

INTERESTS
The reason I will be studying sports journalism this school year is that my interests revolve around it. I love attending my school's sporting events and capturing the action that is a sport. In addition to photography, I have a strong passion for children, which explains the numerous babysitting jobs, my summer camp lifeguarding position, and the childcare position I have taken. I believe that two of my gifts include both photography and childcare, which is why I have decided to choose one of them for ISM.
